Sodium Bicarbonate with Acetic acid will cause a Acid-Base Reaction. Sodium Bicarbonate is a weak base. Precipitates don't form in Acid-Base Reactions. There is gas formation because the products of the reaction are NaCH3COO and H2CO3 and carbonic acid (H2CO3) decomposes into water and carbon dioxide. The gas is carbon Dioxide. There will be a temperature change from the acid base reaction (exothermic). And there is no color change.
