Does my boyfriend shake because he's excited and nervous or is it the epilepsy?

when i'm hugging or snuggling with my boyfriend, his legs and arms tend to shake. he's epileptic but the last time he had a seizure was 3 years ago and he's on medication. could be the epilepsy or he just gets excited and nervous?
