TEENS:Can you diss a teacher without having it affect your grade?

I have this social studies teacher who likes to make fun of the students. Though really, he's just joking around and nobody takes it seriously. He also makes good jokes and the whole grade loves him. Some of the students make fun of him (calling him Clifford or Santa Claus the day he came in wearing a red shirt). He doesn't take the students seriously either. Well anyway, I would diss him back but I'm afraid I'll get in trouble. He really doesn't care much about what students say about him, but every teacher comes to a point when they say "enough is enough. Go to the prinicipal's office, you have detention". So teens, when do you know that enough is enough? I really don't want the teacher to hate me and I don't want it to affect my grade.
