How to get a job on a legal team for a sports team?

I am studying law next year at ANU and i want to sometime in the future be on a legal team for an NRL and AFL club so i can represent players at the judiciary. Is a law degree enough or do i need to major in sports law for example? I have tried my own reseasrch, couldnt get much. WHAT CAN I DO TO SET MYSELF UP,< HOW WOULD I GET THE JOB IN FUTURE
