I am about to graduate with my bachelors in psychology and I am interested in working overseas as a contractor?

I am about to graduate with my bachelors in psychology. I am interested in working overseas as a civilian contractor but I am not sure of the procedures. I have worked in workers compensation administrative field for 10 yrs. So even if I can get in on an administrative level and move up that would be sufficient. I have a friend that was a contractor in Kuwait for several years but he was also former military. I am a married woman, age 38, with a 14 yr old son still at home. Please help!
